Left Side of Tractor
(1) Pressure tap in port"G1"
(2) Parking brake solenoid
(3) Shift solenoid
(4) Pressure-reducing valveNote: The above illustration and the following illustration show machines with the Tier 4 Final/Stage IV engine. The wait to disconnect lamp, on the electrical panel, is installed on these machines. Machines with the Tier 3/Stage III engine do not have this lamp.Parking brake solenoid (2) and shift solenoid (3) are on the auxiliary manifold. This manifold is on the left side of the machine, under the left operator platform. The door on the left side of the machine provides access to this component.Parking brake solenoid (2) must be energized to release the parking brakes. When shift solenoid (3) is energized, the machine operates in the travel-speed range. The auxiliary pump provides the hydraulic flow to the auxiliary manifold. Pressure-reducing valve (4) reduces the pressure available to parking brake solenoid (2) and shift solenoid (3). The pressure is reduced to 5000 350 kPa (725 50 psi). The pressure can be measured at pressure tap (1) in port"G1" of the auxiliary manifold.

(5) Brake release manifold
(6) Brake pressure switch
(7) Needle valve
(8) Hand pump
(9) Brake pressure tapBrake release manifold (5) is on the left side of the machine under the left operator platform. The door on the left side of the machine provides access to this component.Brake release manifold (5) contains hand pump (8), needle valve (7), brake pressure switch (6), and a pressure tap. When the needle valve is closed, the hand pump can be used to release the parking brakes manually. The handle for the hand pump is stored in the tool box.Brake pressure switch (6) provides an input signal to the machine electronic control system. Actuation pressure of the switch is 2550 kPa (370 psi). The switch is deactuated at 1800 175 kPa (261 25.4 psi). The brake release pressure can be measured at brake pressure tap (9) on the rear face of the manifold. If the brake pressure is low when the machine is commanded to move, the monitoring system logs a level-three fault. Low brake pressure causes increased brake wear.

Right Side of Machine
(10) Track tension manifold
(11) Quick coupler
(12) Track tension pressure switch
(13) Needle valve
(14) TapRight track tension manifold (10) is on the right side of the machine. The door on the right side of the machine provides access to this component. The left track tension manifold is on the left side of the machine, in front of the screed service lock. The right and left track tension manifolds are identical.Tap (14), needle valve (13), and quick coupler (11) are used to service the hydraulic pressure in the track tension system.Track tension pressure switch (12) is installed in each track tension manifold (10). The track tension pressure switch is actuated at 10700 kPa (1553 psi). The switch is deactivated when the pressure is 8950 537 kPa (1300 78 psi). The machine electronic control system uses input signals from the track tension pressure switches
