Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the slope box. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Sliding Guide (Extender Carriage) - Remove and Install".
Remove the power adjuster motor group (extender height). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Adjuster Motor Group (Extender Height) - Remove and Install".
Remove the nose bar (extender screed). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Nose Bar (Extender Screed) - Remove and Install".

Remove the lockwire. Disconnect harness assemblies (1).

Remove cable straps (2) and harness assemblies (1) from screed frame (3).

Attach a suitable lifting device to screed frame (3). The weight of screed frame (3) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb).

Loosen the five jam nuts and five bolts (5).
Loosen five nuts (8).
Remove two bolts (6) and the two washers. Remove the electric screed heat box and the two harnesses.
Remove six nuts (7) and the six washers from the leading edge.
Remove six nuts (4) and the six washers from the trailing edge.
Remove screed frame (3). Installation Procedure

Install screed frame (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Align the outside edge of the screed plate with the outside surface of screed frame (3).
Align the front edge of the screed plate with the front face of screed frame (3).
Tighten five bolts (5) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in). Tighten the five jam nuts
Use Tool (A) and a torque wrench to tighten harness assemblies (1). Tighten harness assemblies (1) to a torque of 10.5 0.3 N m (93 3 lb in).
Use Tool (C) to install Tool (B) in order to secure harness assemblies (1). End By:
Install the nose bar (extender screed). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Nose Bar (Extender Screed) - Remove and Install".
Install the power adjuster motor group (extender height). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Adjuster Motor Group (Extender Height) - Remove and Install".
Install the slope box. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Sliding Guide (Extender Carriage) - Remove and Install".
Start By:

Remove the power adjuster motor group (extender height). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Adjuster Motor Group (Extender Height) - Remove and Install".
