Screed Heat Control Electrical Schematic (1) Inverter connection (2) Tractor connection (3) Heater ECM (4) Screed power module (5) Right main screed plate (6) Right extender screed plate (7) Right end gate heater (8) Left screed operator station (9) Display unit (10) Display unit (11) Right screed operator station (12) CAN "A" resistor (13) Screed ECM (14) Left main screed plate (15) Extension high voltage harness (16) Left extender screed plate (17) Left end gate heater (18) Extension resistor (19) Left extension screed plate (20) Extension low voltage connector (21) Extension low voltage harness (22) Extension low voltage connector (23) Right extension screed plateThe tractor electrical system provides 24V power to the screed electrical components through tractor connection (2). CAN line communications and other functional system control signals also pass through this connection. The following components receive 24V power from the tractor. The associated grounding terminals are also noted:
Left and right operator station (8) and (11) receives battery power at pin "A" of the station connector. This power is transferred to terminal "C2-12" for each display (9) and (10). Grounding for the left operator display transfers from terminal "C2-6" to pin "D" of the station connector. Grounding for the right operator display transfers from terminal "C2-2" to pin "a" of the station connector. The differing grounds determine the location code of the display. Key switch power is delivered to terminal "C2-11" via pin "B".
Screed ECM (13) receives battery power at terminals "J1-31", "J1-39" and "J1-47". Grounding for this ECM is through terminals "J1-13", "J1-25", "J1-57"" and ",J1-70". Key switch power is delivered to terminal "J1-1".
Heater ECM (3) receives battery power at terminal "C4-57". Grounding for this ECM is through terminal "C4-67". Key switch power is delivered to terminal "C4-70".
Screed power module (SPM) (4) receives battery power at terminal "C3-60". Grounding for this module is through terminal "C3-58".The generator circuit provides 675V DC heater element power to the screed power module (SPM) (4) through inverter connection (1). This HVDC cable also carries the hazardous voltage interlock (HVIL) signal. This connection is required for the heat system to function. The cable is directly connected between the generator inverter and the screed power module.Note: In order for the generator to be enabled, the HVIL "bonding" signal must be detected by the system to verify the HVDC cable connection.Heater element power is distributed through four connectors on screed power module (4) as follows:
Connector "LM-C1" distributes power to the left main screed plate
