Position the machine on level ground.
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to the appropriate Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure Release" procedure for your machine.

Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag to the start switch before you service or repair the equipment. These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Caterpillar dealer.Removal Procedure

Remove the covers from right side console to gain access to the area around radio (4).
Disconnect antenna cable jack (2) from radio (4).
Remove two M5 screws (3).
Remove radio (4) from the right side console.Installation Procedure

Position new radio assembly (6) onto the existing bracket. Secure the radio assembly to the bracket using two new screws (2), to new lockwashers (1), and two new hard washers (5). Tighten the two screws to a maximum torque of 4 N m (35 lb in).
Connect new radio harness assembly (7) to the cab harness.
Connect the other end of radio harness assembly (7) to radio assembly (6).
Connect existing antenna cable to radio assembly (7).
Secure the red jack, the white jack, and the antenna cable by using one new cable strap (4).
Reinstall covers.
