Keep dry. Do not clean the Operator Console under high pressure. If water or other liquids get inside the console battery compartment, immediately dry the unit. Remove the battery and let the unit air dry.Clean the unit after operation. Remove any mud, dirt, concrete, and so on, from the unit to prevent clogging of buttons, switches, and so on, by using a damp cloth. When the time comes to replace the batteries, use the same model and the same manufacturer of the original batteries.Always recycle a battery. Never discard a battery. Return used batteries to an appropriate recycling facility. Check local laws and regulations regarding appropriate battery recycling or contact a Cat Dealer for more information. After operation with the console is done, place the operator console and associated equipment back in the protective carrying case. This helps to prevent unwanted damage, unauthorized use, and theft.Transportation
Care should be taken when transporting the Operator Console. To prevent damage to the console and the consoles controls, use the carry case provided to store and transport the operator console. For more information refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, M0085769, "Cat® Command for Dozing, Operator Console", "System Components" chapter in the "Carry Case and Equipment" section.Note: Transportation of the tractor with the remote control plate installed is allowed. Due to local restrictions, removal of the Antennas, Bracket, or Plate may be required. If components are removed, protective coverings should be placed on the machine to prevent damage or water entry. A Special bypass harness plug has been designed and included with the remote control kit if the remote control plate needs to be removed. This bypass plug has been attached to the rear of the remote control plate. If the bypass plug has been lost, check the schematic for the correct part number for replacement.
