Remove bolts (7). Remove cover assembly (8).

Remove O-ring seal (9).

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device onto head (10). The weight of head (10) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb).
Remove bolts (11). Remove head (10).

Remove O-ring seal (12) and backup ring (13) from head (10).

Drain the oil from housing (14). Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device onto rod assembly (15). The weight of piston and rod assembly (15) is approximately 590 kg (1300 lb).
Install Tooling (D) onto housing (14) in order to retain tube (16).
Remove rod assembly (15). Position rod assembly (15) horizontally onto suitable blocking.
Remove Tooling (D).

Attach a suitable lifting device onto piston (18). The weight of piston (18) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Remove bolts (19). Remove piston (18) from rod (20).
Remove ball (21).

Remove bolt (22). Remove plate (23).

Push end (24) inward in order to remove retainer (25).

Use Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove end (24).

Remove O-ring seal (26).

Use Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove tube (16) and gland (27). The weight of tube (16) and gland (27) is approximately 181 kg (400 lb).
