Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the diverter valve (torque converter and front brake cooling). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diverter Valve (Torque Converter and Front Brake Cooling) - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (2). Remove air cylinder (3) and the O-ring seal from body (1).

Remove retaining ring (7).
Remove head (6) from air cylinder (3).
Remove seal (9) from head (6).
Remove piston (5) from air cylinder (3).
Remove seal (4) and seal (8) from piston (5).

Remove lip seal (10) from head (6).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove plug (11) and O-ring seal (12) from body (1).
Remove spring (14) and stem (13) from body (1).
