Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
Remove the cab front plate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Plate (Cab Front) - Remove and Install".
Release the air system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Tanks (Brake) - Purge".
In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to prevent contaminants from entering the system.

Remove screw (1). Remove handle (2).

Remove O-ring seal (3).

Extend the steering wheel to the full out position. Tilt steering wheel (4) to the down position.
Remove cover (5) and cover (6).

Disconnect hose assemblies (7).

Remove bolts (8). Remove air control valve (9). Installation Procedure

Install air control valve (9). Install bolts (8).

Connect hose assemblies (7).

Extend the steering wheel to the full out position. Tilt steering wheel (4) to the down position.
Install cover (5) and cover (6).

Install O-ring seal (3).

Install handle (2). Install screw (1).
Charge the pressure in the air tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting with an External Air Supply". End By:
Install the cab front plate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Plate (Cab Front) - Remove and Install".
Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chocks (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
