(11) Return portReturn oil from the hydraulic oil cooler flows through return port (11) to return filter (1). The filter contains an internal bypass to allow oil to bypass if the filter is plugged or the oil is too cold.The return oil passes through the filter element and filtered oil flows out of the outlet holes along the lower circumference of the filter. Thereafter, the oil enters suction filter (5) and the oil flows to the pumps through suction tube (8).Air breather (2) is located on the top of the hydraulic tank. The air breather prevents an increase or a decrease of air pressure in the tank regardless of the volume of oil being used or the temperature of the oil. The air breather is also a filler cap. The cap is equipped with a pressure release mechanism to safely release pressure from the hydraulic system.Case drain oil from the swing motor, travel motors, fan motor, and pumps returns to the tank at drain port (9). This oil flows through drain filter (7) before entering the tank chamber.Two return lines from the main control valve attach to fittings (6).Hydraulic oil temperature sensor (4) communicates with the machine Electronic Control Module (ECM). The temperature will display on the monitor. If the oil reaches the threshold set by the ECM software, an event code will occur requiring the operator to change operation to allow the oil to cool.Sight gauge (3) provides a visual method for checking the level of the hydraulic tank.
